Description
Only 10mins south of Arthur's Pass Village, on SH73, the Ecolodge overlooks the expansive Waimakariri River and mountains of the National Park. Experience "off grid" living at its best on a small environmental footprint. To stay costs $175 per night for bed and homemade breakfast (for 2 people). You have the option to book up to 4 people in your group, as I have two Queen rooms available. I'm more than happy to share a 2-course meal + wine/beer for $35 pp and spend time sharing stories. The space Rain water, solar power, massive double glazed windows for warmth and the view, and a wood fire for winter warmth. There are two queen rooms, which can accomodate up to 4 people for your booking (plus children). Cooking and hot water is provided by LPG. The Ecolodge is surrounded by native bush. There are plenty of books and board games for the downtime. I'm a child friendly host. The 12 volt power supply precludes the use of medical device requiring 230/240v power supply. Guest access You will be staying in my home, so all the living space is shared, including the bathroom. Access to the living area is by way of internal stairs which have a handrail. Other things to note The Ecolodge is a magical place to be able to explore Arthur's Pass National Park day walks, with the Bealey Spur Track starting at the front door. Explore the mountain bike trails of the Craigieburn area or skiing at the five nearby fields or just be inspired by the scenery. The pillow top queen beds are very comfy. I also have a highchair and portacot if you are holidaying with young children.
