Rose Cottage is a cosy family holiday home nestled on the edge of the Lake District National Park. Freshly renovated, this 4 bedroomed cottage is located in the beautiful Cumbrian village of Tirril, less than 2 miles from Ullswater. The cottage is a welcoming space for family get togethers and the perfect base for exploring one of the finest pockets in England. The Queens Head Inn 2 doors away means its all too easy to eat some of the best pub food around after a day of outdoor adventures. The space Rose Cottage has 3 double bedrooms and a kids bunk room, plus two family rooms, a kitchen and bathroom. The secret walled country garden is a relaxing place to barbecue or play games on the lawn, as it is a sun trap throughout the day and evening. The bedrooms are all on the first floor and configured as: - Master bedroom: sleeps 2, one double bed - Bedroom 2: sleeps 2, one double bed - Kids bunk room: sleeps 2 in bunk beds (single size) - Bedroom 3: sleeps 2, can be set as twin single beds or as a king sized double bed (please advise at time of booking on your preference). This bedroom is located up a separate staircase to the other bedrooms. The main family room features a wood burning stove, corner sofa and armchairs. The second family room has a tv, sofas and underfloor heating. Both living spaces and the kitchen are located on the ground floor. The kitchen is between the two family rooms and has a dining table set to seat 6, which extends to comfortably sit 8 people. Mod cons include induction hob, electric oven, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, Tassimo coffee machine. The family bathroom was refurbished in March 2022 and is mid-way up the main staircase with a toilet, sink, and new walk-in shower. A baby bath is available on request. There is a cloakroom area with pegs and a shoe rack. The utility room houses the heating controls for the central heating, the washing machine, iron, ironing board, vacuum cleaner, mop etc. There is double glazing throughout the property. The garden has an open stone shed with outdoor furniture and BBQ for guests to use. There is also access to the rear garden for storage of bikes etc. Guests to the property will be provided with a starter pack of key items (basic cleaning supplies and some individually wrapped teabags/coffee pods to get you started) and initial fuel for the wood burning stove.
