From the moment you enter Kahala Lodge you will be transported to a beach house on Hawaii's North Shore. The home is furnished with designer and Hampton inspired furniture reflecting the New England and Hawaiian roots of the owners. Fresh original artwork and timber floors only enhance this feeling. The space The ground floor consists of an open plan living and dining room. The dining area has a large French library table that can comfortably seat twelve. The living area features an open fire, two sofas and a large TV with FOXTEL, Blueray DVD and AppleTV. Adjacent to the living area is a large cooks kitchen equipped with a double oven, cook-top, microwave and every possible gadget you could ask for as the owners are keen cooks and entertainers. There is an open fire surrounded by shelves and shelves of cookbooks and a chalkboard wall. Flowing from the kitchen is the alfresco dining/entertaining area. This is the perfect place to enjoy a meal cooked on the large Weber barbeque or a drink after a day at the beach while listening to the ocean. This area overlooks the recently built 4x8 metre magnesium pool. The pool features an oversized heated spa that can easily accommodate eight people. The Master Bedroom and Ensuite is also on the ground floor. The newly renovated ensuite features an oversized soaking tub and a rain shower. This level is serviced by a powerful wall mounted reverse cycled air conditioner. The first floor features two double bedrooms and one single bedroom, as well as, a family bathroom. The bathroom has a bathtub and separate shower. This level is serviced by ducted air conditioning. On the lower ground floor is a large laundry room with a shower and toilet. Kahala Lodge is a flat 200 metre walk to Copacabana beach. It is perfect for families kiddie corner is at the end of the street surfers and those keen to walk or run along the beach. The village features several restaurants, cafes, a bottle shop, news agent, and general store. There are two tennis courts for hire, an awesome skate park and two playgrounds. Avoca Beach is a four minute drive; Erina Fair and Terrigal are approximately 15 minute drives away. The house is well set up for 1 or 2 families and sleeps 8 very comfortably.
