Meu Pé de Cacau - Studio Papaya in Paúl do Mar
Meu Pé de Cacau - Studio Papaya in Paúl do Mar
Description
Meu Pé de Cacau is a tropical fruit garden surrounded by dramatic cliffs to the north-east and the vast Atlantic Ocean to the south-west. Four beautifully designed and sustainably built studios share the property with an infinity pool, social areas and luxurious plantations hosting hundreds of different tropical fruits, planted on traditional agricultural terraces hand crafted in basalt stone. The space We hope you find Meu Pé de Cacau the place for the next experience you are dreaming of — hiking along the wild West Coast of Madeira, surfing Paúl do Mar's giant tubular waves, immersing yourself in completely new flavors, or simply taking the time to read that next great book. Papaia is our topmost studio, and as an ideal place for relaxation and being in contact with nature, it offers spectacular ocean and cliff views. On the outside, the studio features a private outdoor deck area with a dining table. Inside, you are treated to a comfortable king-sized bed, a private bathroom with a rain shower, and a lounge area with a sofa, dining table, and a small kitchen. Meu Pé de Cacau's common areas feature an infinity-edge pool, gardens, an outdoor dining area, an outdoor kitchen that is fully equipped with an induction stove and oven, as well as a barbecue. Espresso and filter coffee machines are available in the outdoor kitchen. Visiting in Winter? As we have plenty of warm and sunny days even during our slightly cooler months, the pool is fitted with a heat pump that works to keep the water temperature from falling below 24C/75F, at no additional cost. Throughout the gardens, you may find many herbs and spices available to use. We offer free reliable Wi-Fi in the studio and the common social areas, with speeds of up to 300mbit/s. Other things to note - Rental Vehicle: Paúl do Mar is a small village with very infrequent public transportation, so we highly recommend renting a vehicle for getting here and exploring other parts of the island - Pack light: The property is built on many terraced levels, so remember to pack light to avoid carrying a lot of weight up and down - Wildlife: The local climate is borderline tropical, which means that lizards, birds, spiders, and various insects and bugs can be found in the area and our lush gardens. While we do our best to keep everything clean, you might see some of these finding their way inside, so make sure before booking that this is not something that you are uncomfortable with - Tourist tax: The local municipality charges a tourist tax of €2, per guest, per night, up to 7 nights. This value is specified in the price breakdown and is part of your Airbnb payment. If any of the following exemptions apply, let us know so we can reimburse the amount: a) any nights stayed before 01/10/2024; b) residents in Madeira; c) children 12 and under; d) people with disabilities under specific conditions Registration Details 113046/AL
