Farmhouse with a sculptor's ambiance

A stylish Appenzell farmhouse, modern and generously renovated, is looking for people with a sense of art and country life. The rooms are tastefully and creatively furnished and guarantee a unique living experience during the stay. For bedroom no. 3, it must be mentioned that it is not a lockable room, but the bed is on an open gallery! The space The location of the farmhouse is only 2 km from the Austrian border, a wonderful Nature reserve to the west and the towns of Bregenz and St. Gallen can be reached within 20 km. The Alpstein, with its many hiking opportunities, can be reached in 40 minutes by car. There are sensational hikes and bike tours around Lake Constance in the surrounding area. The house can accommodate up to 12 people (provided that two people can sleep in the 140 cm and 160 cm wide beds) and is therefore very ideal for family gatherings or group meetings of any kind. Please note that the rooms are only about 2.10 m high. This can be challenging for tall people. Our guests have a complete part of the house with their own kitchen and can cook their own meals. Dishes are fully provided. In the courtyard in front of the house, there is a large fire bowl that invites you to barbecue, as well as seating and tables. Behind the house there is another seating area with tables and garden chairs. From there you can see the entire Bregenz Bay of Lake Constance and the view of Lindau. Guest access The part of the building has its own entrance. The garden can be used in its entirety, and you can also grill using charcoal grills. The landlord couple lives right next door and is there for you for any details, information or assistance. We follow Airbnb's original idea of welcoming all guests personally and giving them an insight into our way of life. Other things to note There is a parking space for about 4 cars or a minibus right in front of the house. The house is directly adjacent to a road and is therefore very easily accessible by car, but this should be considered for people who are very sensitive to noise. We also speak English, French, Spanish, and a little Italian. English spoken; nous parlons français; hablamos español; parliamo italiano. It is not necessary to fill out the city tax or the overnight stay tax; it is already included in the price. Christoph and I (the hosts) live in the adjoining part of the building, and the two apartments have a connecting door. We make every effort to maintain both closeness and distance with our guests. However, during the winter months, it is essential for us to heat the tiled stove in the morning so that guests find a comfortable temperature when they get up. If this is not desired, we kindly ask you to let us know in advance. Our house was built in the 18th century, which means that the ceiling heights are about 2.10 m and can therefore be a challenge for tall people.
