Pets are WELCOME The space In the oldest part of the house where the apartment is located, General Luigi Masi was born in 1814, a hero of the Italian Risorgimento, doctor, poet and major military man, general and commander of the "Umbria Brigade" who actively contributed to the achievement of Italian unity. The apartment, located on the second floor, was completely renovated in 2017 and overlooks the church dedicated to the patron saint of the town, San Pietro Apostolo, the characteristic bell tower and the castle which, together with the bridge over the Chiascio river, was the subject of furious disputes between the fiefdoms of Perugia and Assisi, a castle that represents one of the many "castra" of the Assisi countryside, erected as a defensive bulwark right at the point of greatest passage of armies and pilgrims heading to Assisi.
