The Wing Swifts is a charming & spacious light filled period cottage with an enclosed private garden, in the picturesque village of Milverton, nr Taunton in Somerset. A sunny cottage with well equipped kitchen/dining room (and cookery books) with cosy log burning fire, 3 deliciously comfortable bedrooms, a designated work area and 5 mins to the most incredible walks into breathtaking countryside outside the door. Milverton has a very well stocked local shop for all needs. The space This period writers cottage in beautiful Somerset is perfectly placed for a peaceful and restful retreat in the midst of some of Englands most breathtaking countryside. With a large well-equipped kitchen and dining room (with Broadwood piano for playing and entertaining) the kitchen has all mod cons, appliances and supplies for all your cooking/dining needs. The large lounge has a classic, cosy wood burner and luxuriously large velvet couch, along with a well stocked book case. Upstairs are 3 bedrooms (2 double and 1 with a single day bed) and a quiet workspace. Bathroom comes with organic bathsalts and new rainwater shower. The large front garden has an outdoor table setting and chiminea and is a perfect spot to eat al fresco, or just listen to the birdsong. The most amazing walks into exquisite countryside, fields, long winding country lanes, rivers, streams and forests are all five minutes from our door. House comes with picnic set, walking and guide books and some lovely history books about the area. Free parking at end of our drive, in nearby famous North Street or 5 or so mins away. Guest access You will have the whole house and garden to yourself. Other things to note Windows in upstairs rooms are low and have window seats, they are lockable, so if staying with littles, be mindful to lock them as they are quite easily accessed!
