The house is simple, but very luxurious in terms of space and privacy. Surrounded by nature, charming towns, great food, hiking & daytrip options, this place is perfect to wind down, reconnect and stare at the world in the distance. The space Originally built as a farmhouse in the 19th century and expanded in the 40s, we bought Vidovina in a dilapitated state in 2010 and have been renovating ever since. The result looks and feels like it did when we first saw it: spacious and warm, yet simple and authentic. Expect no fancy decorations or marble bathrooms: it's a farmhouse. Its luxury lies in the abundance of privacy and space, with large bedrooms, ample bathrooms, comfy living room, well-equiped kitchen and a massive terrace. And a night sky you rarely see. The house consists of 6 big bedrooms which easily fit 19 guests (no bunkbeds). Five bathrooms, a living room with a dinner table the size of an Italian family, an indoor fireplace, a well-equipped kitchen, a massive (yoga)studio, a 5x10m pool, a lawn to play on, all situated within a national park: your private Forest Farmhouse Retreat. Pleas enote that the house has no central heating. For colder days, we have a wood hearth in the living room and extra blankets for the beds. Guest access You can go anywhere you like, inside and out, except for the spaces we locked for private use. Other things to note The home is reached by an unpaved road that can be challenging. Don't worry, you and your car will be fine. Just shift to gear 1 (up and down), go slow (20km/hr) and make sure that Gabriela and/or Cor show you the way the first time.
