Winter Sanctuary — Timeless Forest & Starview Bath

Escape the rush and step into a living sanctuary designed for pure presence. Nestled in complete privacy on a large acreage, this space is crafted to help you slow down and share genuine moments of joy. ​Your winter stay includes everything needed to unwind: firewood, candles, cozy robes, a curated cheese and berry platter, chocolate, and a warming mulled wine kit. Put a record on the vintage turntable, enjoy the filtered rainwater, and let the outside world fade away. The space ​Dark Moon Farm is a 45-acre property situated in the rolling hills of Yandina Creek. The land is a mix of open pasture and natural bushland, providing a genuine hinterland atmosphere with total privacy. From the higher points of the property, you can enjoy expansive views across the valley, while the lower areas offer quiet spots for reflection and a chance to see local birdlife and wildlife. ​ The property is positioned to offer the best of both worlds—what we call the "Beach to Bush" lifestyle. You are far enough away to enjoy absolute silence and starlit nights, yet only a short drive from the surf beaches of the Sunshine Coast and the historic townships of Yandina & Eumundi ​ We are neighbors to some of the region's premier wedding and event destinations, including Palm Creek Estate and Yandina Station. This makes the property an ideal choice for guests looking for high-quality, boutique accommodation close to these venues without sacrificing peace and quiet. ​The farm is also home to our resident cats, Misty and Luna. While we are a working property, the guest areas are specifically designed to ensure you feel like you have the entire landscape to yourself. Guest access Automated gate - access using your phone's bluetooth. (Details are sent on day of checkin) Cottage is unlocked on arrival. Key is provided in kitchen. Parking is on a sealed carpark 20 metres from the front door. Please note: there are a few other cottages - each very carefully placed for privacy, spaced out across the 45 acre property. We ask and advise that you do not bush walk here without consulting us first. Firepit is very special locally sculpted piece, use recommended in June, July and August only due to bushfire risk. Please check local daily fire restriction details before lighting a fire. Firewood - is available by request after booking or please bring your own. Don't forget newspaper and matches to start. 🌿 Firewood in the wild forest is not really suitable, is often damp... but is included at your own risk. Please be careful. Dry bagged firewood and kindling is available from most service stations, hardware shops and some roadside stalls. No pets. No smoking inside. Dark Moon Cottage is on the edge of the forest and you may cross paths with insects, moths, spiders and wildlife. Remember to keep any unscreened door and windows closed - particularly at night because they are attracted to lights.
