Old Rustic Townhouse In White Village Andalusia
Cortes de la Frontera Townhouse
Description
The house is a traditional townhouse. Stay in the real deal ;) thick walls & set over 3 floors with sun terrace and mountain views. Perfect for a get away at rock bottom prices!!! Great for couples, small families, a small group of hiking buddies, cyclists or those looking for an experience of authentic rural Spanish life in an unspoilt traditional village. I'm happy to give local advice and supply extra details of the surrounding areas, places to eat, walks, places of interest, just ask :-) The space The house has a wonderful aura, it is an original town house which means the walls are super thick, like a little castle, making it good in the heat and the cold unlike the modern re- fabs in the area which tend to be one thin layer of clay bricks only!!! It's small and cosy but perfect for small families or couples everything you need full working kitchen with fridge freezer, brand new cooker, washing machine and dishwasher. Although I recommend getting out and sampling the local cuisine sooo good and soooo cheap!!! The terrace is perfect for lazy snoozes with a cerveza and mountain views or star gazing at night with a glass of vino... There is a master bedroom with a nrand hand made HUGE double bed, a smaller double room opposite the master bedroom behind a curtain a top floor with 2 single beds/sofas. The top floor leads out on to the roof terrace and there are two floating single futons which can be moved around the house to suit your needs, be it extra beds for the kids on any floor or simply extra comfy seating. They can be located down on the ground floor as seating or I have even slept down there in the heat of summer as it's the coolest place in the house if it is really HOT! There are brand new electric radiators in every bedroom and a working fireplace on the ground floor which helps to heat up the entire house. You can buy firewood from our neighbour Antonia next door at number 8 Calle Tajo, or you can get it from the local petrol station in the village. In the warmer months we provide electric fans in every bedroom, but it does get VERY hot so please remember to close the blinds and curtains in the day time or the house will get super heated by the midday sun!!!! VERY IMPORTANT!!! takes ages to cool down again... Guest access Parking is advised 2 mins walk on Calle El Mirador next to the Park at the top of the village, as the street by the house gets very steep and narrow. You have the whole house to yourselves loads of space to make your own!!! "mi case su casa" as they say ;) In the entrance there is a dinner table I fashioned from some legs I found in the Campo and a builders board, wood or 'Madera' is not easy to come by for those of us who like to bash stuff together! The clothes rail in the master bedroom is ridiculous I know but should be fine to hang a few bits and pieces, no need to worry about damaging this it will be replaced very soon simply a rushed temporary invention! The top floor is ideal for chilling out playing guitar reading books chatting telling stories of your adventures over a vino or two ;) and make use of the terrace great views of the mountains all around and wonderful stars at night! All bookings must be made via AIRBNB You can access the house anytime after 16:00 or sometimes earlier upon request! Late check out time of 13:00 again you may be able to check out slightly later upon request dependant on bookings always check the night before. You will be issued with a unique access code to retrieve the keys the night before arrival they are in a key safe next to the front door, simply replace the key when you leave, simple! Other things to note Wifi is not in the house, maybe use your stay as an escape from all the electro smog and hustle and bustle from big cities, read a book, relax and enjoy the beautiful nature around the village :) There is also really really good 4G connection in the village, better than in our flat in central London so we just tether our phones with a "hotspot" ! However, if you really need it there is Wifi at most cafes and bars in the village, where you can get a coffee or beer for 1 Euro! There are lots of bars, cafes and restaurants, they are excellent value, so Eat local! If you do decide to cook at the house we just ask that you do all your own washing up before you leave please ;-) thank you!!! Please note in this part of the World they put toilet paper in bins provided as it blocks the old drains, not ideal especially in summer!
