Guest suite in New Milford

A spacious, very quiet, completely private first floor room with its own entrance at the back of my 1844 Italianate Victorian. There’s a queen bed, 2 upholstered chairs, and a wood table with chairs where you can bring in food, your laptop, or borrow a game or jigsaw puzzle! The half bath is on the first floor, with a full bath (shower, no tub) on the second floor. The access and use is completely private. The space This sunny room is large but very cozy with 10’ ceilings, reading lamps for reading in bed, an antique Hoosier cabinet containing coffee and tea making equipment with a variety of coffee and teas, a small fridge, a corkscrew with wine glasses, and a bottle opener. There’s a queen bed, lots of pillow options, and 2 upholstered chairs. The table offers plenty of space to work or draw, bring in food or play a game. The back yard and patio is a quiet place to relax with a table and chairs, and a swing seat hanging from the sycamore tree. The half bath is on the first floor, with a full tiled bath (shower, no tub) right above it on the second floor. This access is up one flight of stairs (they are somewhat steep and shallow, the old servant's stairs) and is completely yours alone, with nothing shared or access to or from the house. New Milford boasts one of the loveliest greens in New England. I'm in walking distance (under 5 minutes), there are many wonderful restaurants, a movie theater, live theater, fun shops, great breakfast spots and a newly opened walking/biking trail along the Housatonic River. With Roxbury and Washington to the east, Kent and Litchfield to the north, and so many other charming towns in the area, you’ll be centrally located for wining, dining and adventure. My home is situated between Canterbury School and the town green, and is a 5 minute walk in either direction. Saturday mornings host a vibrant farmers market from 9 to 12. Fresh plants, veggies and fruits, breads, beer, cider donuts, goat cheese and goat soap, natural pet food, local meats and farm fresh eggs are all available from local vendors.
