The FLOPHouse is comfy, cosy and conveniently located for your east coast Tassie road trip. Positioned on the main thoroughfare of town opposite Wrinklers beach the entrance is a 250m stroll away. We offer an open plan lounge/kitchen/dining, off street parking, spacious rear garden courtyard and 2BRs sleeping up to five guests (QB/DB/SB). The Bay of Fires, Freycinet, wineries, mountain biking and a whole lot of fresh air are all within easy reach. Did we mention no traffic lights either? The space The FLOPHouse is easily accessed as you leisurely travel up or down Tassie’s sunshine coast. Built in 2020 the FLOPHouse is fresh and comtemporary. **NOTE** *If you use the Vodafone network you will not have reception at the FLOPHouse. The only phone company with good reception throughout Tasmania is still Telstra, so if you're not with Telstra expect intermittent or limited mobile phone service. Perhaps consider buying a pre-paid Telstra sim card for your trip. *You will notice on the list of FLOPHouse amenities there is no free wifi and that’s because we are deliberately tech free. We say press pause instead! *The minimum stay is 2 nights *To avoid disappointment please be advised pets are not allowed Guest access We're a 1.5/2hr drive from Launceston travelling through the picturesque Fingal Valley. Once you arrive just park on the immediate right hand side where the FLOPHouse arrow sign directs you to. Ride your bike or take a casual walk to our local coffee haunts. The beach is across the road and accessed via a short 250m walk with a very high chance you'll have it all to yourself! Other things to note You will have everything you need to self cater, there's a full-size fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, all the crockery and cutlery you need including Tassie's own Ritual Coffee to enjoy and if our girls are laying then fresh eggs too :=) A small town of about 800, Scamander has a couple of little cafes, a small IGA for essentials, a petrol station and a hotel.
