High-speed WIFI is available throughout the apartment, allowing you to stay connected for work or leisure. Our home is just steps away from local cafes, shops, and historical sites. Radicondoli is located in the geographical center of Tuscany, allowing you to take day trips to any part of the Tuscan region you wish to explore. You can also visit the beautiful surroundings and vineyards, take short trips to San Giminiano, Monteriggione, and San Galgano, or spend the day in the stunning cities of Siena and Florence. The peaceful setting makes it an ideal retreat for relaxation or study, while its central location offers plenty of opportunities for adventure. From our place, you can easily take longer day trips to the south of Tuscany (Montalcino, San Filippo, and Saturnia Thermal SPAs) and even to Orvieto and Assisi in Umbria. You can also visit all the castles and wineries in the northern Chianti region. You are welcome to enjoy the entire space in comfort and privacy. Before you arrive, I will introduce you to Karin, our lovely 'greeter' who is fluent in English, Italian and German and will show you around the house. She works at the local tourist office and can give you lots of great suggestions for day trips and local fun events. Any question you have during your stay, please be sure to contact her: she is easily reachable and very helpful. Our neighborhood is in a delightful corner of Radicondoli and epitomizes the quintessential Tuscan village experience. Surrounded by rolling hills and stunning landscapes, the area offers a peaceful and authentic setting for your stay. The streets are lined with charming medieval architecture, and the local community is warm, welcoming, and alive with year-round cultural and artistic events. Just a short stroll from the apartment, you'll find a variety of local cafes, artisan shops, and traditional restaurants. There are five lovely restaurants in town to explore. Agriteca in Piazza, a favorite, is around the corner on the main piazza. This spot hosts entertaining events during high-season afternoons and evenings, making it perfect for happy hour while the kids play in the square. La Pergola, renowned for its excellent wood-fired pizzas and romantic terrace with sunset views, attracts diners from afar. Bar Ristorante Nazionale via Gazzei offers quite affordable, honest, homemade cooking. A new addition to the village is Il Granaio, which has quickly gained a reputation for its excellent Tuscan menu. For the best happy hour in the region and a fantastic dinner, visit Hotel Gioliano, a few minutes walk from the center, but remember to make reservations to enjoy the culinary creations of Piemontese chef Mario. The neighborhood also provides convenient access to essential amenities, including a grocery store, a butcher, a pharmacy, a hairdresser, a post office, a newspaper/tobacco shop, a bank with an ATM, an Art Gallery, a Tourist Office, and a library with books in English, French, and German. The local bakery is open daily until 1 p.m., except on Sundays. A vegetable stand in the main piazza offers fresh produce every Monday, and the fishmonger on Thursday and Friday mornings is very popular with the locals. Be sure to ask Karin to point you to the public Water Station, where you can fill your bottles with natural and sparkling drinking water for free. Radicondoli's central location makes it an excellent base for exploring the wider Tuscany region. The village is within driving distance of historic cities such as Siena, Florence, and Arezzo, making day trips to these cultural hubs a breeze. The scenic routes through vineyards and olive groves offer a perfect backdrop for your adventures. For those who enjoy outdoor activities, the neighborhood boasts proximity to numerous hiking and cycling trails that showcase the natural beauty of Tuscany. These trails offer breathtaking panoramic views and a chance to immerse yourself in the serene surroundings. Our village is also on the well-known “Val di Merse” circuit, a world-famous cycling route. Throughout the year, the neighborhood buzzes with cultural activities and local events. The annual summer arts festival is a highlight, attracting visitors with its vibrant performances, exhibitions, and workshops. This lively cultural scene always ensures something interesting to see and do. Whether you're looking for a tranquil escape or an adventure-filled holiday, this neighborhood in Radicondoli provides an ideal setting. The combination of beautiful scenery, rich history, and modern conveniences ensures a memorable and enjoyable stay. I strongly advise against parking on the street, as you could get a parking ticket. After you drop your luggage, you can drive one block down the street to a large parking lot where you can safely and conveniently park your vehicle. During the summer, there is lots of socializing in the streets, and a big Happy Hour is set up in the middle of the main piazza, with occasional free musical events. Additionally, due to its historic architecture, the property is not wheelchair accessible.
