Stone walls and wooden flooring - yet with modern shower and facilities. The dining area has a wood burning stove for the cooler evenings. Edelweiss has a wonderful Terrace with a unique view overlooking the whole of Zermatt. Immersed in nature and summer alpine beauty. Directly on the hiking trails, perfect for a peaceful getaway. Simple breakfast included. Edelweiss is also a public mountain restaurant serving hot food daily from 9am - 7pm. Edelweiss has 5 bedrooms and a shared shower, WC's, washroom, restaurant / living area 1 x 5 Person shared bunk room CHF 80 per person, per night, sharing with other guests 1 x Double bedroom CHF 180 per night for 2 people 1 x Twin bedroom CHF 180 per night for 2 people 2 x Single rooms CHF 95 per night for 1 person Guest access Guests can access their bedroom and the shared shower, washroom, toilets, restaurant and living area. There is no access to a kitchen. Outside, guests can use the public terrace and garden area. During your stay We welcome all of our guests personally and live on the premises ourselves. We are available for any questions. Edelweiss sleeps up to 11 guests, so you may be sharing the communal areas with other guests. The terrace and restaurant are open to the public during the day. Other things to note Edelweiss is located on a hiking trail, 1 hour hike up from Zermatt. The only access is by foot. There is no public transport. We recommend to start the hike by 4:30pm. Edelweiss is also a public mountain restaurant serving hot food from 9am - 7pm. - Please arrive at Edelweiss before 6pm / 18:00 - Please leave your luggage in the lockers at Zermatt train station and bring just what you need in a small day back-pack, easy to carry up - A simple breakfast is included in the price - Our restaurant is open for hot food from 9am-7pm - You are welcome to bring your own cold drinks and food, but there is no access to a kitchen - Zermatt visitor tax CHF 4 per person per night is due on arrival - Good wifi connection throughout - Towels, bed linen, shampoo, shower gel etc is all provided -There is no heating in the bedrooms. There are blankets and a wood burning stove in the living room for cooler nights - Two cats live at Edelweiss :)
