Snug double room - amazing views

A very compact (small) double room with a beautiful view across the valley. Village location. Suited for both flat and fell walks. Four and a half miles from market town of Keswick with a variety of eating and shopping choices. Our rooms are priced in line with the youth hostels in the valley and are considerably less expensive than other accommodation. Our non-provision of towels forms part of our effort to keep prices as low as possible. The space Our location is perfect for anyone wanting a quiet location with immediate access to walks from the door. Guests are invited into our home where they have use of a shared bathroom. Their room is very compact and there minimal floor space between the bed, chair and wardrobe and the bed is accessible from only one side; it is equiped with TV. They can access the kitchen for tea/coffee and also the garden if the weather is good. The bbq is available by prior arrangement and a small fee. At an additional cost of £5 per person we provide breakfast of cereals, eggs, toast and preserves each morning from 8.30 to 9am. Please note that cooking of other meals in the kitchen is not possible. As we live here too our guests will undoubtedly see us around, we are happy to chat and assist in any way to make their stay pleasant and comfortable but we are mindful that guests will want to spend their time peacefully together. To this end the rooms are equipped with sky tv. The neighbourhood is quiet but friendly. There are frequently a lot of tourists and walkers in the village and there is a nice cafe within half a mile (please note that the cafe closes at around 5.30 in the afternoon). Public transport is the local bus service with buses running to the nearest town (Keswick) hourly in the summer season (less frequently during the winter months). I have two very friendly, passive dogs and so those who don't like animals may prefer to stay in an animal free house. We are happy to chat and assist in any way to make their stay pleasant and comfortable, however we are mindful that guests want to share their time together and so we try to offer space to those staying with us, to this end we have equipped rooms with sky tv, WiFi and tea tray for guests to use for relaxing. Other things to note Due to work commitments, arrival time between 4.30-6.30pm unless by prior arrangement.
