Magnificent Georgian house - Yorks

Huthwaite Grange was built for the owner of the internationally important Wortley Top Forge which stands opposite. The Grade 1 Listed Top Forge dates back to the seventeenth century and is the world’s oldest surviving water powered iron forge. The house is a great place to get together with friends and family. We can often accommodate early and late checkout so please do ask about that when you make your enquiry. The space Huthwaite Grange is a magnificent Georgian house which stands in its beautiful grounds. The house has just completed a painstaking restoration to a standard befitting of such a historically important building. All original feature have been restored using historically accurate techniques and materials while modern services, insulation, solar power and underfloor heating have been added but hidden from view. Our bedrooms all offer a flexible layout so we can accommodate any combination of single people, children or couples. Guest access Guests have the run of the house and 1 acre of grounds, the house is not lived in so all storage space is also available to use.
