The Shack - a rustic, rural retreat

The Shack is an owner-built, self-contained rural retreat – rustic and homely. Situated on private property on the Wimmera River, only 5 minutes from Horsham, this 2-bedroomed cottage offers panoramic views of farm paddocks, dams, gum trees and the Grampians. Guest access You will have The Shack to yourselves which includes a huge, fenced yard and panoramic views of our farm. Pets are very welcome and are allowed inside, but please, not in the bedrooms or on the furniture. You are encouraged to walk across our suspension bridge and around the river walking track to Gate #6 which will bring you back to The Shack along the creek. It's 3.5 kms so takes about 40 minutes to walk. Please leave all gates as you find them as we may have our Highland pets and some stock on the farm. Other things to note Our fee is for 2 people. Extra people incur an added amount of $20 per person. If your baby/toddler uses one of the beds and towels, then the charge applies, but if you bring a cot for your baby, or use our portacot, then there's no charge.
