Miles of Lake Michigan sand is simply steps away through a walk of the stunning gardens. Just up a few stairs you will find yourself on the shores of Lake Michigan. Visitors often remark that it is as vast and magnificent as any ocean. It truly earns its place among the Great Lakes. Beach chairs and sand toys are available for a relaxing day of play in the sand. The space The alternate name for Casa del Lago is The Sanctuary, with good reason. This is a property like none other. The smell of cedar, the wind in the trees, the lapping and/or roar of the waves, with the morning birds, will transform your body and mind during your stay. Guest access The property is home to 5 acres of wooded hiking trails through your own secluded cedar forest. No matter the season the adventure of exploring the woods is a highlight for visitors. Other things to note You won't leave the same as you arrived. It is impossible to walk the property, breath in the cedar scented air and hear the constant lapping of the lake and not be changed.
