Room for 3 in Family Home +EV Charging
Description
Our friendly family home is located in a quiet cul-de-sac just outside Buncrana Town Centre. We've lots of space to share - a large, airy kitchen; comfortable upstairs bedroom and bathroom; spacious back garden. We have solar power and an electric vehicle charging point. Buncrana is on the Wild Atlantic Way - beaches, coastal walks & the town centre are within strolling distance. Derry is 20 min drive, while Malin Head is 35km. If you arrive by bus, we can collect you from Buncrana town centre. The space Ours is a friendly, functional family home - we live here and will be going about our day as usual while you are here. So if you're happy sharing a home (with all the advantages that brings - local knowledge/tips, warm house, someone to answer your questions, help with anything), then this stay is for you! We are continually striving to make our home an eco-friendly one. Solar panels provide a significant portion of our electricity and hot water needs for several months of the year. There is an Electric Vehicle Charging Point on site and we also have a composting facility and recycling bins. Guests will have use of the bedroom (as pictured) & bathroom (both upstairs), kitchen (shared) and parking. If required, an extra guest can be accommodated, if the floor space is utilised with the option of a pull-out mattress At times we can provide extra rooms e.g. an extra bedroom and/or sofabed, so please enquire if you have additional accommodation requirements, such as extra guests, children etc. and we will do our best to facilitate you. We have a wee terrier x Scout who we've had since lockdown. He is very energetic and excitable and will most certainly be making his presence known (so don't book if you don't like dogs ☺). While not dangerous, we understand how his lively interactions may seem intimidating to a non-dog lover. For guests who stay more than one night, we are happy to lend items such as electric cool box for picnics, gps, beach chairs or any other items we have to enhance your visit to Inishowen. We insist that you make yourself at home during your stay. This includes asking questions when you're not sure about something e.g. is the water from the tap ok to drink - yes; can I borrow a needle and thread - yes; can you recommend a place to eat - yes. If your stay is in late April/May you may even be lucky enough to hear the cuckoo calling early in the morning as it migrates back to Donegal for summer. Guest access ★ Guest bedroom & guest bathroom (upstairs). While the bathroom is not en-suite, we endeavour to ensure that guests have exclusive use of it for the duration of their stay. Although we may require access at occasional busy family times. On the rare occasion when we have other guests simultaneously, the guest bathroom will be for shared use. ★ Guests are free to use the kitchen/dining area (downstairs) to make tea/coffee, prepare food and eat (you can use our cooking utensils, oils, spices and condiments). We will also be using the kitchen for our mealtimes, so let us know in advance if you need the kitchen to cook. Guests are free to use all the kitchen facilities/equipment, including kettle, fridge, cooker, microwave, toaster, crockery and cutlery. Tea/coffee making facility always available and teabags/coffee/milk/sugar are provided. ★ A variety of breakfast items - cereals, bread, milk, butter and jam - is made available for all guests on a self-service basis. During your stay We are happy to interact with guests in our home and to share a cup of tea and a chat, if you're happy to do so. Other things to note ★ Tea/coffee making facilities are available for the duration of your stay. ★ Please note that use of the washing machine/dryer will incur a small fee per load. ★ If required, we have an air mattress which we can place in the room to facilitate an extra guest. Please note that extra guests will incur an additional fee and we require to be notified in advance. ★ We can also arrange another bedroom for additional guests if your group is larger. Please get in touch and we will do our best to accommodate any needs you may have. ★ ★ Please note - near our house there are public building works taking place which may mean some site traffic emerging from the building site as you pass and while this will not impact your stay with us in any way, it is no harm to be aware of it fyi. The house is situated in an estate with other houses, so we would ask that guests are mindful of the area/neighbours. ★EV charger is available to use and we offer a complimentary 5 kWh. Subsequent usage will be charged at 0.50c per kWh (electricity unit). ★We have a wee terrier x Scout who we've had since lockdown. He is very energetic and excitable and will most certainly be making his presence known (so don't book if you don't like dogs ☺). While not dangerous, we understand how his lively interactions may seem intimidating to a non-dog lover. ★Thank you for understanding :)
