Point Comfort Lodge

Point Comfort Lodge, built in 1912, is a National Historic Landmark. Sitting on the northwestern shore of Upper Klamath Lake, and at the foot of Pelican Butte, it is a mecca for fishing and birding. This lakefront property is truly a unique experience that offers beautiful architecture on the inside and stunning sights of nature on the outside. The Lodge is a beautiful and picturesque 45 minute drive away to world renowned Crater Lake. It is also 20 minutes away from the Running Y Golf Resort. The space The Lodge comes with carefully curated antiques and a fully equipped chef's kitchen. It is the perfect spot for family reunions and group getaways. There are 7 bedrooms and 5.5 baths. Bedrooms consist of 4 lakeview rooms and 3 garden view rooms. 2 California king beds, the rest are queen and 4 single beds. There is a large wood burning fireplace in the seating area for winter stays and we provide firewood free of charge. The large living room area has plenty of comfortable seating complete with quiet reading spots and card table for more lively entertainment. Outdoors has a large dining patio on the Lakeside with two barbecues and a firepit. The grounds slope down to the boat dock (which can accommodate 5 boats). There are kayaks for your use free of charge and a pontoon boat which can be rented out for additional cost for your stay. There is easy lake access for kayaking and boating. The boat launch is a mere 1/2 mile away so you can bring your boat and access the lake easily. For the fishermen out there, native trout in the 5 to 10 lb range are a regular catch. Guest access The Lodge is for your full private use. There are 2 additional cabins on the property which can be rented (if available) along with the Lodge. Please enquire if interested. There is a security code for the lockbox which will be given out prior to your stay. Parking is directly outside the lodge with easy access to the property. Other things to note Activities in the area include:- Crater Lake National Park - 45 minutes drive from the Lodge Crater Lake Zipline (rated in the top 20 in the world) really a unique experience. (2 miles from the Lodge, at the top of the road). Running Y Golf Resort and Spa - this is an Arnold Palmer designed 18 hole golf course. The Spa is available to book for beauty treatments and some pampering. Lava Beds National Park - 45 minutes drive from the Lodge Lots of hiking and walking trails close by We can put you in touch with local guides if you are interested. Dining Harrimans Resort - half hour by kayak or 2 mins driving. They have a very nice well stocked bar and serve dinner and breakfasts, shuffle board and pool available.
