Other things to note Kantiang is a small sleepy Thai village with a mixture of Thai and Western people living in the area. It's the perfect place to relax and spend time on the beach, eat some delicious local fresh food or kick back with a tasty cocktail and generally a lot quieter than the busier resort at the North of Ko Lanta. The beach is one of the best on Ko Lanta and regularly turns up in travel articles as one of the best beaches in Thailand or even Asia! Its a great location to explore the rest of the island from with a number of other villages and beaches very close by. There are a few small travel agents in the village that can easily arrange boat trips to other islands or exploring the mangroves on the east side of Ko Lanta. Scuba diving is also available from the 5-star PADI dive center "Scubafish" located in the village on the main road.
