The Coral Stonecutters Cottage is perched atop stunning Doonagore, a short drive from Doolin village. From this high point, you'll enjoy views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Burren. The cottage is a great base to enjoy the music in the famous Doolin pubs, beach in Lahinch and the harbour village of Liscannor. Our charming cottage dates back to a little after the famine and has been restored to keep much of the original character, complemented by period pieces to maintain its authentic charm. The space The cottage has one double-bedroom, bathroom and galley kitchen. Lounge with woodburning stove and a sitting room with views down to Liscannor Bay. The cottage has been fully renovated (and insulated) and has charm along witrh modern conveniences. Guest access The cottage has off-road driveway parking Other things to note The cottage has off-road driveway parking. There is a picnic bench on the patio. The cottage has full central heating and a wood burning range in the lounge. To help make thing as smooth and easy as possible, here are a few “frequently asked questions” and answers. Of course, if there is something we haven’t covered please do get in touch. How long should we spend at the Cottage to see the area? The commonest feedback we receive from guests is that they wish they had stayed longer. We’d say three days is a good balance between the desire to see all of Ireland and the desire to see all that the area has to offer. Our minimum stay is two nights; of course you can stay longer (we have guests who have stated for a month and still felt they needed a bit longer to see everything!). Can we get to the Cottage by public transport (or walking)? You can… but it would be quite a challenge. The nearest bus stop is at the bottom of the hill and it is a fair walk to the Cottage. You’d then find it a bit tiresome (and tiring) trying to get around without a car. Cycling is a good option. We have had guests who have stayed at the Cottage on their cycle tour around Ireland. There is a secure shed for bikes to be stored in overnight. When do I get travel directions? Three days prior to arrival you will receive check-in details and one of our team will be in contact on the day of arrival once the cottage is ready for check-in.. If you are arriving really late then that’s fine too, we will leave the Cottage open for you and we will come by the next day to say “hello” and make sure you are settled. There will be a small Welcome Pack waiting for you, with tea, coffee, etc; enough to keep you going before you get to the shops.
