The Green Kettle was built in 1904 and has been a landmark in the area since. We like to keep it as near as it was inside a truly traditional Scottish Guest House full of character and odds and ends to browse. It is very quirky old and truly Scottish Please note this house is not for people who wish 5 star on a budget but if you wish good old fashioned hospitality in a very old building with nooks & crannies brick a brac and a step back in time then this is for you PLEASE READ THE HOUSE MANUAL The space If there is a large group there are 4 Rooms available upstairs Guests then are able to feel more at home The rooms are all en suite with Tea /Coffee & flat screen TVs, there is a selection of DVDs to watch &. Free Wi Fi available. Lovely comfortable beds, we provide a microwave and a fridge for our guests use. Towels are provided in all rooms. Guests can make use of our seating area downstairs plenty of books and information available on the local area, free wi fi, cable tv and dvds provided. We are a Scottish lady & an Irishman so love to chat if guests wish but we also respect your privacy. The scenery is breathtaking and the people very friendly we have the best of both worlds peace & quiet about 1.5 miles away is the local village Garelochhead with shops, café, pub. The area is steeped in history and the Army camp and MOD not too far from us plenty of walking, cycling and outdoor activities. A bus can be picked up in the village of Garelochhead 1.5 miles away for Helensburgh then a train to Glasgow or through to Edinburgh, if you wish to explore further north the train goes all the way to Mallaig passing Oban & Fort William on its way. .. There is plenty of parking space in our car park at the side.
