Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. It’s a one bedroom with a king size bed, one bathroom with a sleeper sofa in the living room. Enjoy the private hot tub, firepit and grill. Other things to note Traveling to Carmen’s Cottage, you enter unincorporated Hilham County, where the fields of corn, cattle and other relaxing sites begin to let the stress ebb away.  Down the gravel driveway to the renovated barn, Carmen’s Cottage beckons you to enter the front door and slow down…. Enjoy the surrounding beauty. The spacious open floor plan holds the sophistication of great design and the comfort of what you want.  Hues of grays, creams, and wood tones are gently blended in all three rooms.  The living room, at the front of the cottage, has a Roku television for your enjoyment, comfortable seating and a queen sleeper sofa for additional guests The large wooden desk for those times you just need to do a bit of work or want to be comfortable messaging your friends, is located between the living room and the kitchen.  The WIFI throughout the cottage is excellent as is cell phone service. The fully equipped kitchen boasts all that your inner chef needs to prepare delicious meals.  A small array of spices are there for your use as is the coffee maker, with coffee, sugar and creamer for the first days’ worth of necessary caffeine.  Sip your morning beverage on the back deck overlooking the pond and be in awe of the beautiful sunrise. The back deck offers you seating to enjoy yourselves and wait while you do a bit of grilling on the propane BBQ grill.   The spacious bedroom, with queen bed made up of soft and freshly laundered linens, awaits you offering a sleep only the country can offer.  Listen to the metal roof quietly speak to you when the wind blows…. Soothing. Large wood planking and the beams overhead offer you an idea of the original use of the cottage.  Plenty of closet space and drawer space for your use along with extra blankets and pillows. The large bathroom is located directly off the bedroom, along with a barn door into the living room.  An antique sideboard hosts a modern sink and faucet and brings in the warmth of the different tones.  Though the sink in high, a small step stool is provided for those in need.  Fluffy towels are awaiting you after stepping out of the large walk-in shower.  Shampoo, conditional and bath gel are provided for your first night or two stay.  If necessary, there is a large washer and dryer for your use. While relaxing on this working farm, you may see John riding along on the bright orange tractor and working in the back forty.  Enjoy the chickens that roam freely and give a visit and pet to the friendly sheep.   Carmen’s Cottage offers you all the creature comforts of home, in a farm environment, and surrounded by beauty.
