Light & Spacious Charming House in Penzance

A light-filled Victorian townhouse spread across three characterful floors in the heart of Penzance, just a 5-minute walk from the train station and town centre. Sleeping up to 8, the home features original beams, pine floors, a wood-burning stove and a private walled courtyard. Full kitchen, Smart TV, WiFi and a washer are all included. Pets are warmly welcome. A brilliant base for west Cornwall's beaches, fishing villages and coastal walks. The space A tall, light-filled Victorian townhouse set over three floors in a quiet residential street right in the centre of Penzance. The house retains enormous period character - original exposed beams, pine floorboards, granite walls and locally inspired coastal artwork throughout - while offering a spacious, comfortable and well-equipped home for groups of up to 8. Sleeps 8 across 3 bedrooms: Bedroom 1: Double bed (first floor) Bedroom 2: Twin beds - two singles (first floor) Bedroom 3: Double bed (attic, with bay views) Additional sleeping for guests 7 and 8: a 4ft sofa bed in the living room and a pull-out single futon (slightly narrower than a standard single), which can be placed in either of the double bedrooms. Please note that the attic bedroom is accessed via a slightly steep staircase. In addition, one travel cot is provided. If there is more than one infant, guests will need to bring an additional cot and linen with them. Living Room The ground floor offers a generous through living and dining room full of period character. Two sofas, an original fireplace with a wood-burning stove, a bookshelf stocked with board games and books, and a Smart TV fill the space with warmth and personality. The room flows naturally into the dining area, where there is a dining table for the whole group. Kitchen The bright, skylit kitchen is fully equipped with a gas hob, oven, microwave, toaster, hot water kettle, a retro fridge-freezer, dishwashing facilities and a washing machine. Cooking essentials including Cornish coffee and a generous selection of teas are provided. A breakfast room leads directly off the kitchen via a stable door opening onto the sunny courtyard. Bathroom The first floor has a good-sized family bathroom featuring a deep soaking bathtub, ideal for unwinding after a day on the beach. A separate WC is located off the first floor landing, which makes busy mornings much easier for the whole group. Laundry A washing machine is located in the kitchen. A drying rack is also available. Outdoor Space A private walled courtyard sits to the rear of the property, accessible via the stable door from the breakfast room. It is sheltered and sunny, and features Acapulco chairs, a bistro table and a garden shed. Parking Parking is on-street in Belgravia Street and nearby roads. Spaces do become available regularly, though availability naturally varies. A 24-hour car park is located approximately 5 minutes' walk from the house. Guest access Access to the property is via a lockbox located to the right of the front door. Full access codes and arrival instructions will be sent ahead of your stay. Other things to note The attic bedroom is accessed via a staircase that is slightly steeper than standard - please bear this in mind if you are travelling with young children or guests with mobility considerations. The house is set in a quiet residential street and guests are kindly asked to be respectful of the neighbours. Check-in is from 3:00 pm and checkout is by 11:00 am. The sofa bed and pull-out futon are available on request for groups of 7 or 8 - please let the host know in advance if you need these to be made up. A travel cot and high chair are available on request. Please note that cot linen is not provided and guests will need to bring their own.
