Description
Spacious yet cosy, historic yet stylish, The Old Vicarage is a characterful 400 year old, Grade II listed Cornish cottage situated in the heart of ancient Looe’s quaint town centre and a minute’s stroll to the beach. Our guests also benefit from a private courtyard garden (which only a couple of cottages in the area have) and a dedicated parking space (near the cottage by the seafront). 7 day minimum stay during May half term, from the second week in July until the end of August, and Christmas The space Built in the 1600s, The Old Vicarage is a Grade II listed building with the English Heritage. The cottage retains many of its original, characterful features including a flagstone hallway and beams. Redecorated and refurbished to a high standard, The Old Vicarage (which is arranged over three floors) can accommodate up to 8 adults (with extra sleeping capacity for a baby in a travel cot). It includes a wood burning stove (ideal for creating a cosy cottage atmosphere, especially during winter evenings), a private courtyard garden (which only a couple of cottages in East Looe’s old town have) and a large Jacuzzi bath (perfect after a day spent enjoying any one of Looe’s excellent outdoor activities). The cottage is an inviting and well-equipped holiday home - perfect for summer or winter escapes. Please note, during the May half term and summer holidays (middle of July through to the end of August) check-in and check-out day is Saturday (minimum seven day stay). Guest access Hire of The Old Vicarage is on the following basis: - Peak season: 7 day minimum booking (no short breaks negotiable). Our peak season includes February half term, Easter bank holiday, May half term, summer holiday (middle of July through to the end of August), October half term and Christmas / New Year period. During May half term and summer holidays arrival is only possible on Saturday. Flexible arrival and departure dates are possible during February half term, Easter bank holiday, October half term and Christmas / New Year period. - Off peak season: 3 day minimum booking with a flexible arrival date. Partial occupancy can be accommodated during our off-peak season – please contact us for further information. Other things to note Amenities: - Dedicated parking space - Private courtyard garden - Fully equipped kitchen - Washer dryer - Dishwasher - Ironing board & iron - Central heating - Wood burning stove - Jacuzzi bath - Wifi - HD TV & DVD - All linen, Egyptian cotton bathroom towels and Turkish beach towels provided (a mattress and bedding for the cot are not provided) - Books, DVDs, games etc provided - Cleaning services available during your stay with notice and on request In addition, you will find all of the shopping and other facilities you may require within a few minutes walk from the cottage, including grocers, bakers, chemists, boutiques, a post office etc. Detailed information on local amenities is provided in the house manual at the cottage. We regret that we do not accept pets under any circumstances.
