The warm jewel tones and velvet furnishings bring comfort to the space while golden tones bring a touch of glam. A mixture of new and old furnishings and accents blend in to make the space feel comfortable and lived in... old world yet modern. A plush mattress with silky Egyptian cotton sheets and down pillows and a comforter encased in a cotton waffle weave duvet will be calling your name when night finally falls. Play a little Barry White on the turntable if the mood strikes. **Please no smoking cigarettes or cannabis in the rental ** NEW SHOWER ROOM!! - we have added a brand new shower room in the spring of 2023. This room is connected to the entire rental, but seperate from the toilet and sink. There is a nice, roomy shower, sitting chair, and cabinet containing linens. laundry bag on the back of the door for soiled towels. SITTING AREA - Upon arrival, you will head to the right of our front porch and down a small set of stairs that will bring you to the door. Once inside you will find a nice sitting area equipped with cozy throw blankets, interesting books to read, and games for you to play on those rainy days or in the evenings when the town goes quiet. BEDROOM - Further into the main living space is a queen size bed with nightstand and dimmable pendant lights on each side. A dresser and hangers are there for your convenience and an ironing board and iron are under the bed. Feel free to use the record player if so inclined. KITCHENETTE- The kitchenette has custom built cabinets and a tiled backsplash. There is a Cuisinart toaster oven/air fryer that is large enough to fit a 12" frozen pizza and I've been told can roast an entire chicken. A retro mini fridge with freezer will keep your items cold and the electric Bodum water kettle heats up in a flash for your morning drip coffee. There is also a hot plate, garbage, and recycling receptacle under the sink with pots and pans, bowls, utensils, etc in the various drawers. Take a seat at the breakfast bar and enjoy a morning bagel and cup of joe using a mug and plate from a local potter. ** if a fuse happens to blow, the breaker panel is behind the coffee pot picture on the kitchen wall POWDER ROOM - The powder room has sink with cabinet and toilet. The shower is in a seperated room connected to the rental. Fresh towels and wash rags are stocked on the shelves, and under the sink you will find a few toiletries you may have forgotten at home such as toothbrush, tooth paste, and feminine products. Parking is available on the side street or in front of our home on a first come first serve basis. You will have your own private entry making it easy to come and go as you please. WINTER - Note there is no on street parking in the winter. Please use the open parking space located on the right side of the driveway in front of the garage I'll do my best to answer all emails, texts, phone calls, in a timely manner. I do have a job outside of the home, which might make that difficult at times. I intend to have all necessary information printed out and available to you inside the rental. Our stylish stay is located directly on Hwy 61 in Two Harbors. Eateries such as Northshore Pizza Cafe, The Vanilla Bean Cafe, and Lily's Asian Cafe are literally just across the street. Dairy Queen, Blackwoods, Judy's Cafe, Lou's Fish, and McQuades Pub & Grill are just a short walk up or down 7th Avenue. Enjoy a lavender martini on the Blackwoods patio or head to The Landing just down the street to play some pool, shuffle board, or darts. Take an enjoyable walk downtown to the infamous Castle Danger Brewery to enjoy a cream ale on their deck, or enjoy a delicious cocktail and grilled cheese at the new super swanky Tipsy Mosquito across the street from the brewery. From there, walk to Agate Bay to watch the ships come into the harbor. Traffic is quite busy along Hwy 61 from Memorial Day through the fall season. Our corner doesn't have a traffic light or stop sign, but drivers tend to stop for those trying to cross the street. Everything in Two Harbors is within walking distance and our neighborhood is very safe and comfortable. Two Harbors is a small town that is easily accessible on foot. Lake Superior is about a 1/2 mile from where you're staying. Wanna eat at Judy's Cafe? Turn down a side street that's close by and you'll more than likely find a spot on the street. The grocery store is just up the main road and Seagren's Hardware store is next to Super One foods We reside in the main house with our two daughters ages 12 and 14. It's possible you may hear footsteps above you or talking, but rest assured the house is quiet come 8:00 or so. We also have cats in our home that have not had access to the rental space. Please follow up on our printed rental guidelines upon arrival which can be found in the magazine rack on the wall.
