Description
Black Sheep Barn is a luxurious two bedroom converted barn situated near Ludlow in a remote, undiscovered pocket of the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Explore miles of hill, wild heath and forest and then sit by the fire or perhaps on the terrace and enjoy fifty mile views to the Welsh border. It’s a good place to get away from it all as it’s a half mile up a steep track from the nearest road. We think it is a special place and we hope you will think so too. The space (Please note that unlike many other properties on AirBnb we don’t add on extra fees - such as cleaning or extra fees for dogs - as this is included in the price. Airbnb add a fee when you book. The price you will pay is our price + Airbnb fee) Once you reach the top of the long track you will see Black Sheep Barn on the left. You will have the whole of Black Sheep Barn to yourselves. This includes a fenced in garden, wooden decking area and two parking spaces. The barn is adjacent to our house on a small holding with sheep, chickens and vegetable garden. Neither property can be seen from the other and you have plenty of privacy whilst still having an amazing view out over the fields and hills to the horizon. There is a log burner, underfloor heating and electric radiators to heat the property so you can be sure you will be cosy and warm as you enjoy the view, or read a book or maybe choose a record from the shelf to play on the record player. Porch/Boot room Enter through a porch and boot room, with underfloor heating to help dry your muddy boots and water proof jackets after a good exploration of the hill. There is also a washing machine and sink together with space to dry some washing. Dogs seem to enjoy lying here after a good walk on the hill - perhaps its the underfloor heating...? Living area Get your slippers on and descend the couple of steps down into the main living area. This consists of dining and lounge areas which open out onto a wooden decking where you might wish to sit and watch the sun set. The dining area has a table and four chairs. The lounge has two sofas around a wood burning stove, with a TV and hi-fi. The hi-fi is old but has a mini jack lead for you to plug your phone in. There is a wall of shelves with board games and books for you to borrow. Also a record player and small selection of records. Kitchen and shower room Climb a few steps to the kitchen, shower room and bedrooms. The kitchen and bathroom have heated floors to warm your feet on a cold winter's morning. The kitchen overlooks the living area, making keeping an eye on children easier. It has all pots, pans and utensils you should need. There is a kettle, toaster, electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge and microwave oven. The shower room has a large, walk in shower with drencher and standard heads, toilet, basin and heated towel rail. A baby bath is available should this be useful to you. Bedrooms Bedroom one has a timber clad wall, made from timber that once clad the back of the barn. There is a window looking up the hill, king size bed, chair, hairdryer, hanging space and drawers for your clothes. Bedroom two also has a window looking up the hill. It has two single beds which can be pushed together to make a super king size bed. Please let us know in advance if this is the arrangement you would prefer. There are drawers and hanging space for your clothes. Guest access The whole of Black Sheep Barn including a fenced in garden and wooden deck is for your sole use. There is a private drive way and parking. For more details please read 'the space'. Other things to note Travel cot, baby bath and high chair are available on request - to make packing the car easier. Black Sheep Barn is dog friendly but there are sheep and chickens nearby so please only bring well behaved dogs. The area around Black Sheep Barn is fenced.
