There is a Tourist Tax of CHF 3.50 per guest per night to pay cash on departure. This unique traditional Swiss chalet set 100m from Lake Brienz brings a feeling of tranquility and privacy as you settle down to your well earned break. The chalet is free standing with a private enclosed garden, BBQ outside seating for 4. Please note this en-suite bedroom/bathroom on the ground floor of the chalet is accessed from the outside stairwell. The space Ideal as a family or small groups getaway. 100% newly renovated chalet with 70 square metre balcony over looking the spectacular Lake Brienz. The top floor of the chalet has a double bedroom, open plan kitchen, lounge and inside dining for 4 leading out onto the balcony. The balcony has lounge and dining seating for 4, perfect to enjoy breakfast at sunrise or a glass of wine as you take in the amazing alpine glow sunset. Please note this en-suite bedroom/bathroom on the ground floor of the chalet is accessed from the outside stairwell. The chalet has been newly furnished to a high standard with a fully equipped kitchen, iron, ironing board, washing machine, hairdryer, TV, DVD player, board games, books, children's toys and books. The chalet has private parking and a large enclosed garden. The house is accessible from Interlaken Ost train station by either an enjoyable 15 minute bike ride, 5 minute bus ride, 40 minute walk along the river, taxi or by car. Guests can access the entire Jungfrau Region from Interlaken Ost train station. 5 minutes walk from the Holiday Home is the ferry port where you can enjoy the beautiful Lake Brienz. I have full contact with my guests during there stay via email and phone. Meeting on arrival is also an option The region is a massive outdoor adventure base, similar to that of Queenstown in New Zealand. Paragliding, Skydiving, Canyoning, Rafting, Ice Climbing, Hiking, Rock Climbing, Fly Fishing, Mountain Biking, Hang gliding, Bungy Jumping, Canyon Jumping are activities available during the summer. Paragliding, Skydiving, Hiking, Hang gliding, Canyon Jumping, sledding, snowshoeing, skiing and snowboarding are activities availalbe during the winter. For the less adventurous and families there heaps of famous train journeys, boat rides on either Lake Thun or Lake Brienz and lots of day that include amazing playing parks. There are children friendly hiking routes, with bbq spots on the way. The 1st of August is National Swiss Day. The day has continuous events, parades and is capped of with one off with a brilliant fireworks at 10pm followed by live bands. Basically Interlaken has so much to do, I am still working my through the list. The safety, simple style of life and beauty of the place is why I feel lucky to live here. I truly cannot recommend it enough. Great public transport. Bus stop at the end of the road that takes you to Interlaken Ost and the gateway to explore the region. Ferry port 5 minutes walk. Bikes are at the property for your use. A great way to get around during your vacation. Guest access The chalet is private for your use with parking and an enclosed garden. Underneath the chalet is a laundry room for your use also. Other things to note On departure day, we ask that you pay the CHF 3.50 daily Tourist Tax in CASH in the envelope provided. This is for ALL guests 16 years or older. If there are any guests in your group under 16 please let us know so we can calculate the correct Tourist Tax for you.
