Lake Bolac has a local bank , nurse station, supermarket , a golf course, bowling club,tennis court, heated swimming pool, pub and local Police Station. Lake Bolac is a fresh water lake only 50 km south of Ararat which have some of the Victoria’s best wineries ,60km from the Grampian , 90 km from the beaches of Warnambool and 90 km east of Hamilton. Lake Bolac have a rich Pre-European history of Indigenous gatherings held annually at the lake to harvestfresh water Eels and this tradition is still carried on today as “ Eel Festival “ two days full on showcasing Indigenous Arts, Music, Dance in late March every two year.
