My Grandmas' house.

My Grandmas is located in one of the most beautiful and privileged spots of Douro: Ferradosa. This used to be the house of my paternal grandmother bought after her death by my maternal grandmother to me, her only granddaughter. What was once an inhabited village back in the days where used to live the workers of the wine, olive oil, almond & CP, gave place nowadays to a peaceful & empty place. Proudly located at an UNESCO World Heritage site we wait for you all to share the magic of this place. The space The environment is highly vernacular and familiar where guests can enjoy an outdoor space of abundant enjoyment, both with views over the Douro River as well as the schist village and its surrounding vineyards. Have a nice lunch overlooking the river and the vineyard & later relax in a hammock. These are some of the best attractions of our house. Guest access Guests can easily access the village by car, train, boat or plane. By car: From Porto - take A4 then merge in Vila Real to A24. At Peso da Régua leave the highway a prepare to ride on one of the most beautiful roads in the World, the N222 until São João da Pesqueira. There take N222-3 until São Xisto. From Lisboa - Take A1 then merge in A23 and then A25. Lastly take N324 and then N222. By train: Take the train in Porto São Bento until Ferradosa and enjoy this magical ride over the vineyards, the river and the beautiful mountains. Then walk 10min from the train station until the village. By plane: Fly to Porto, Vila Real or Viseu. Other things to note Embrace it: Cell phone signal is very limited here but well.. there's excellent WI-FI connection in the village. Registration Details 118092/AL
