Rural townhouse with a view

Our cottage is ideal as a starting point for hikes and as a vacation home for families with one to two children. The balcony and spacious living room offer plenty of light and panoramic views over the valley. The wild garden borders the edge of the forest, the nearest hiking trail is not a hundred meters away. The space At the end of the 1950s, the Hirschauerwald vacation resort was planned in the style of the time at the edge of the forest above Baiersbronn-Obertal. My ancestors have extensively clad two houses on the outside and inside with local spruce wood, which offers good insulation and a cozy atmosphere. The center of the apartment is the large living and dining area with a window front and great views of the Black Forest. On the south side, there is a full-width balcony protected from the wind. Even if it is cool outside, it will quickly become pleasantly warm there in the sunshine. When the weather is nice, you can grab a deck chair, relax in the garden and listen to the birds chirping. In winter, the lawn can often be used as a snow playground because due to the altitude of 700 m and the high rainfall, everything is often white here when everything is green in the valley. The bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom are rather functional. The furnishings are partly original and have corresponding visible signs of use. We try to repair broken things as much as possible or replace them with better-preserved used items. This is more sustainable, we can rent the apartment cheaper and it helps to maintain the unique atmosphere. Note for the accommodation of babies: In the parents' bedroom there is only an area of 120 x 80 cm for a travel bed. Depending on the size of the bed, one of the two doors can be blocked. Guest access Our guests can access all parts of the living space. You also have access to the basement, which will also be used and entered by us. There is a washing machine available, but it is only available to a limited extent. Please contact me if you want to use the washing machine. Other things to note OVERNIGHT ACCOMMODATION TAX The municipality of Baiersbronn charges a tourist tax / overnight tax of €3 per person from the age of 18. As a host, I am obliged to register all guests in advance and to ensure payment. CHILDREN We're always looking for guests with children and have a few basics there. For reasons of space, certain things (high chair, children's bathtub) are stored in the basement. Although the house is rented for three people, babies can also be brought along – but the space for a baby crib in the bedroom is tight, so please just give us the size beforehand! AWARENESS We welcome people of all origins, faiths, genders and sexual orientations to our house. We do not want to hide the fact that women, BIPoC and queer people in Germany and also in our region experience discrimination and assault.
