Sunny cosy getaway near beach

Charming self-contained upstairs suite, full of light, with lovely outlook on our beautiful seaside village. Five minutes walk to beach and Queen Elizabeth Park, a wonderful forest and dune environment great for walks, biking, picnics. Lively village centre 1.5 kms away, with a well stocked local shop, a fruit and veg shop, 3 cafes and a family friendly pub, railway station, regular music gigs and starting point for the famous Escarpment walk. It is an easy train or drive to Wellington. The space Our upstairs suite is accessed through its own entrance off the patio and up a set of wooden stairs (important to consider if you have an infant or reduced mobility). The suite comprises a double bedroom, bathroom and separate lounge/dining area with kitchenette facility, plus a balcony. The suite gets all day sun. The small kitchenette, with microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster. Note there is no sink, however the bathroom is large and easy to wash dishes in. We provide cereal, tea, coffee and milk for the first breakfast. We live downstairs, with two teens. You may hear them as they come in and out of ours, or shoot hoops out the front, but most of the time you won’t hear us. To help us to continue to keep cleaning costs at a minimum, we ask you leave the place as you find it, and strip the bed if you have time. Thank you! Laundry facilities are available on request. Guest access You have the upstairs suite completely to yourselves. Other things to note We are a family of four, our children are 15 and 17. We also have a little collie called Iggy who is very shy. We love getting out for walks on the beach and in QE Park nearby, and our son is a very keen biker.
