Description
Find isolation from the outside world at a private campsite in Tweed Valley, within the shadow of Mount Warning. This secluded off grid campsite is located on a hilltop with sweeping views of the surrounding mountains. Set on a 90 acre property, alongside the Tweed River, Cloud Camp is sheltered by the rainforest. Cloud Camp is a perfect adult only timeout hideaway. The space Glamping Tent Cloud Camp consists of a 5m diameter Star Bell tent that comfortably accommodates 2 people on a king size bed with linen and extra blankets provided. The tent is located on a secluded campsite, complete with a fire pit, shaded, outdoor dining area, table, chairs and a camp kitchenette. Cloud Camp is fully off grid. You have to plan ahead, charge your devices and carry power banks. All lights on the campsite are solar or rechargeable. We have plenty of them but we ask guests have to be mindful about saving the energy. Food The kitchenette has all basic necessities to make a tea, coffee and light meals. Here you will find a supply of locally roasted coffee, tea, sugar, and the breakfast muesli. Cold filtered water and milk are also provided. Please bring your favourite snacks and drinks. We provide a BBQ and a small esky with cold insert that will last 24 hours. If you planning to stay longer then two nights or if you like camp cooking and will bring lots of food - please bring your own esky and ice. If you don’t want to cook on your holidays we encourage you to try local coffee shops and restaurants. Cloud Camp is located walking distance (5min) from an iconic local restaurant. We are a short drive (7 min) from the village of Uki where you can find an award winning pie shop, coffee shop (and local coffee roaster) in the heritage post office building, take-away, general store and more coffee shops. Conveniences There is a Toilet/Shower Pavilion with an eco-toilet and a hot water shower. The pavillion is partially open to a rainforest. We supply all bedding, towels and toiletries, charged lights and a power bank (if required - to juice up your mobile.) Please note there is no WIFI available, however 4G connection is very good. Pets As a registered wildlife refuge, we unfortunately do not allow any pets. Weather We will advise you on the weather a few days before your arrival. Mount Warning area is at times subject to extreme weather conditions. If a severe weather event is predicted, we may ask you to cancel or reschedule your stay. Guest access Our guests have an access to the whole property by well defined paths and walking tracks. Other things to note Due to recent February flooding area along Tweed River was changed and washed out by flood waters. Guests can walk the track but edges of the river are very steep. We are doing our best to re-establish access to the water but it may not be ready in time of your booking. We apologize and hope that you can still enjoy other parts of the property.
