Woodland chalet hideaway

A private woodland hideaway for up to three guests and pets. Mucky boots and bikes welcome. No Tv or WiFi. Board games, books, nature and each other. A-frame chalet with parking for one. Well equipped kitchen, bathroom, and open plan living with views of the woodland. Cosy bedroom with super king or twin beds. Tea/coffee and welcome tray. Situated on the Applecross peninsula, it's the perfect base to explore the Torridon and Applecross area of the NC500 and drive the famous Bealach na ba. The space There is NO WiFi or TV in this property, though there is limited signal and 4G in certain spots. This a great place to connect with each other and nature. Retro decor and cosy feel, complete with welcome bottle of wine on arrival. Living area with glass front and balcony provide the prefect place to relax and watch out for wildlife. You can put peanuts out for local birds, pine martins and squirrels. Board games, books and cd player are provided and the village of Shieldaig is a short drive away. Applecross approximately 30 minutes drive around the coast. Shieldaig has a pub and restaurant and a small shop for groceries and essentials which are open all year round. There is a salmon smokehouse and Nanny's Cafe open March to November. Lots of fantastic local scenery, walks, and places of interest. Local activity providers include kayaking, mountain guiding and bushcraft. If you want somewhere quiet to get away from it all, go walking, enjoy nature and spend some quality time together, this is the place for you. Due to Coronavirus restrictions we now have a minimum 5 night stay and a minimum 72 hours between guests. This is to ensure a safe environment and allow for a deep clean. Guest access All the house will be yours for the duration of your stay. There are other residences located near to the property so please be respectful of others. Other things to note This property is in a fairly remote location. The nearest petrol is Lochcarron or Applecross. The nearest supermarket is Inverness, Dingwall or Kyle of Localsh so if you plan on a longer stay we would advise bringing supplies. There is little to no mobile reception in the area.
