Description

Honeyacres is a villa-style bungalow, 15 minutes from Cheltenham. It has beautiful, spacious grounds and all modern conveniences. It is light and airy, the garden faces south and there is a wide expanse of sky. Lots of bunnies in the garden too! Please scroll down and click the link to my guidebook (just after location map) for loads of info and ideas on places to visit, nature parks, arts and culture, entertainment for all ages. The space Recently modernised, Honeyacres has a wonderful ambience - the many glass doors result in a sunny, light and airy feel and the vast garden provides the opportunity for a relaxing and luxurious break. Honeyacres is exclusive use. The main bedroom which also has a dressing room and luxury en-suite has a super king bed. The 2nd and 3rd bedrooms have twin single beds and share an en-suite bathroom. The 4th bedroom has an en-suite with a double bed and 2 singles. The 5th bedroom has 1 single bed. There is also space for an air bed in the main bedroom and annexe and a double sofa bed can be made up in the mezzanine off the dining room (which leads into a conservatory). There is a fully fitted and fully stocked kitchen, including a microwave and dishwasher with an island breakfast bar. There is a separate dining room with a large table that can be extended and electric piano that flows through into a wonderful open plan living room (the TV has sky and Netflix) with a fireplace creating superb entertaining space. The lounge and dining room both open out to the main patio area and the fully enclosed, private and expansive garden. The dining room also has a changing colour illuminated well that creates a great ambience with lighting. Preagreed use of BBQ is also available for the main patio area outside where there is a large patio table and chairs and water feature for al fresco dining. The house is ideal for wedding guests needing somewhere to stay in the area, not least those at the Hatherley Manor Hotel which is a 2 minute walk up the road. We also have bookings for reunions, family gatherings, get-togethers with friends, professionals working at GCHQ plus it is an ideal location for race goers attending the Cheltenham Races. The house has lots of open plan space for everyone to be together that flows naturally into the outside area. It is possible to hire a private chef to come and cook dinner for you at the house. A company many recommend is Dineindulge, although we have several other chefs we can recommend upon request. We also have several contacts for background music for parties and this can be accommodated subject to details at an additional cost. Please message for further details. In the past people have also utilised the flat, 3 acre garden which is a particular feature of the property for appropriate, outside activities although we must stress that consideration must be given to our neighbours at all times regarding behaviour and noise levels. (Anti social, wild and raucous behaviour is not welcomed at Honeyacres and will not be tolerated. If this is the type of gathering you are after then Honeyacres is not for you). Hatherley Manor Spa is a 2 minute walk across the road, however guests can also hire beauty therapists to come to the house for treatments and massage. The house is suitable for more intimate family gatherings, for example over the festive period when whole families come together to swap presents and share a meal together. It is also proving popular as a place to reunite with old university friends sometimes with their own young families, as it is an ideal place to spend relaxing and catching up whilst the children entertain each other and explore the garden. Locationally the house is central to many UK towns and cities, Bristol, Birmingham, Oxford, Cardiff, Bath and Warwick are all within approx 1 hour. Additionally, there is a direct train to Paddington from both Cheltenham and Gloucester, so the house works well as a meeting place for people coming from various locations. Guest access Guests are welcome to use the whole property Other things to note Honeyacres is in a residential neighbourhood and is not suitable for loud and wild parties. Please do NOT book Honeyacres if there is any chance of loud music or other types of noise disturbance. We need all our guests to be considerate and respectful towards our neighbours. We welcome groups and have hosted many get togethers that have been wonderful and passed without incident, but it is important to know that loud music, yelling, whooping, shouting or any other loud, disrespectful and disruptive behaviour is not appropriate. No stag parties or all male groups are permitted. Deposits will be kept if neighbours complain and we are called out. There is more information on our noise policy in our house rules. We thank you for your co-operation. It is very important to us to ensure that both our guests and neighbours are kept happy. If your group is respectful and considerate and you are planning a celebration or gathering that is calm and courteous then this is definitely the place for you! We would love to host you and you can be assured of a warm welcome to our relaxing and tranquil retreat. There is CCTV and noise monitoring at the property. No sound systems are allowed. No other people outside of the booked guests are allowed on the property at any time without prior arrangement and agreement. HEN DO’s We have had lots of hen dos and well behaved groups are warmly welcomed. People often ask for ideas, here are some activities others have enjoyed at Honeyacres. The spa at Hatherley Manor is a 2 minute walk, zorbing in the garden, Olympics in the garden, flower crafts, dine indulge for private chefs(number on my page) , days at Cheltenham races, cocktail making, hot tub hire, cookery classes, murder mystery evenings, afternoon tea, makeup master class, private dance class, escape room in Gloucester, all bar high trapeze classes(summer only), sparkle HQ hair accessories. You can also enhance your stay at our Air BnB by arranging a private wine tasting experience right in the comfort of your accommodation. Whether you’re a seasoned connoisseur or simply enjoy a good glass of wine, this unique experience offers the perfect way to unwind, celebrate, or learn more about the world of wine—all without leaving your Air BnB. Book your wine tasting session in advance and make your getaway truly memorable!
