Description
Fourteen Providence Place is a traditional Cornish farmer’s cottage, full of character and charm. Built from local stone, it has the sturdy, timeworn feel of a home that has stood for generations. The cottage sits in a tucked-away corner of Calstock, away from the roads, giving it a quiet, almost timeless setting. Inside, you’ll find the cozy proportions and simple features you’d expect from an old Cornish dwelling with sense of warmth that makes it feel instantly welcoming. The space A traditional Cornish farmers cottage, situated in the riverside village of Calstock. Inside, you will find an open-plan sitting room and kitchen, an outdoor terrace, a double bedroom, shower room with wash handbasin and WC. The sitting room hosts a sofa bed and log burner. (kindling, wood and firelighters not supplied) The cottage is located a stones-throw away from the river Tamar, the two local pubs serving great food, the Calstock railway station and a three minute walk from the Calstock boat yard and the shoreline of the river Tamar. Optional extras: To help keep our costs as low as possible, the following optional extras are charged when required. Log Burner - additional cleaning charge of £10 per stay. Logs, kindling and firelighters (enough for one evening) available via prior arrangements for £15. Sofa Bed - a set of bed linen available via prior arrangement for £20. Dog fee - a £30 per stay charge is required for additional cleaning. All optional extras to be arranged and paid for in advance of arrival. Guest access Check in details will arrive via AirBnB the day before the booking or if booked on the same day as arrival it will arrive after the booking has been confirmed. Parking for Fourteen Providence Place, Calstock is in the village’s free public car park, just a short walk away. The cottage itself is tucked into a small, traffic-free area with no direct road access, which adds to its quiet charm. From the house it’s around a 3–5 minute stroll to the riverside car park where you can leave your car for free throughout your stay. Train - Calstock has it’s own train station around a five minute walk away. This connects you to Plymouth with regular trains to London Paddington. Bus - there are several bus routes that pass through Calstock including a regular service to Tavistock and beyond. Ferry - there is also a regular boat service to Plymouth along the river Tamar. Other things to note Note: Date change requests are not available once a booking is confirmed. One small dog is allowed per stay however this must be indicated when booking. A separate charge for £30 will be applied for additional cleaning services. We will make contact before arrival to collect payment. Dog not allowed on furniture or upstairs.
