Le Pommier: Pool, Med & Mountains: Can Llouquette

Le Pommier is one of four fully equipped self-catering cottages set in 30 acres of private forest and fields. It has a mature garden, a stream and a large shared swimming pool. Can Llouquette is a restored 18th Century fruit-farm in the foothills of the Pyrenees, only 1hr from Mediterranean beaches, in a very rural, very peaceful, pristine natural environment. There are no neighbours and all four cottages are completely separate and private. You'll just hear the sound of the river and birds! The space Le Pommier is on ground level below the old Farmhouse, and is suitable for a couple, two singles or a couple with a small child. It has been freshly renovated and includes a bedroom with a double bed and space for a cot, a private shower/wc, kitchen and living room. Very quiet and private, Le Pommier also has its own entrance and terrace. Other things to note PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING Our home, Can Llouquette is surrounded by unadulterated wild nature. It is a remote location in a natural reserve. It is stunningly beautiful and peaceful and at times capricious and unpredictable. In short, it is nature as few urban people encounter in modern life. For us it is intoxicating, unfeigned nature which reminds us of our true place in a world which we are rapidly destroying. If you have adventure in your heart, and crave nature and sanity, it is for you. If you thrive on busy towns and constant connectivity it is most likely not for you. In which case, do please think again. We have no TVs (only books) and mobile reception is poor in the mountains (you will not get it from your accommodation). In lieu of this you get pure peace: the sound of the river and owls, roe deer and wild boar at night, you'll see myriads of butterflies and Griffon Vultures flying overhead. We are truly enveloped, blanketed, enshrouded in nature. The perfect place to detox and completely disengage from the pressures of the daily grind: to rekindle family connections. A NOTICE for zoophobes: This is a WILD environment, if you have phobias or are anxious in nature, please think whether a mountain forest is the environment for you. There is wildlife here: deer, wild boar, eagles, gennets, and also insects including spiders.
