The space At the Aktivhotel Schanzenhaus in the picturesque Zwölfmorgental valley, you will experience a unique combination of exclusive accommodation, active nature experiences and an idyllic retreat. Despite our quiet location, you will find yourself in the centre of Wernigerode within a few minutes. Spend the night in our bright and friendly double rooms and enjoy a panoramic view of Wernigerode Castle, our own fallow deer enclosure or the ski jump, which is still active today. You can use our wellness area with relaxation room and our in-house sauna for a surcharge of €6 per room. Additional towels are available free of charge. You also have the option of booking various massages from our experienced massage therapist. Our breakfast buffet is available for you from 7:00 - 10:00 am in our restaurant. When the weather is fine, you can use the sun terrace with its fantastic view. Free car parking is available on the premises. You can store your bicycle in our lockable storage room. Guest access During your stay in our Regiohotel Schanzenhaus you can use your booked double room, our lobby with vending machines and our breakfast restaurant with terrace. You can use our wellness area with relaxation lounge and saunas for €6 per room. During your stay If you have any questions, requests, or problems, you can reach us in person at the reception desk on site from 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Our reservation center is available by phone from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and is happy to answer any important questions you may have. Other things to note In our town, a visitor's tax of 3.50 euros per guest/overnight stay is due, which will be charged to you on departure. However, in return you will receive a visitor's tax ticket with a variety of benefits, e.g. free use of public transport throughout the Harz district, discounts for restaurants and cafés, discounts on entrance fees for sights, museums etc. Travel cots including bedding are available for children for an additional charge.
