Charming chalet apartment in the Gruyère region

In the heart of the village of Jaun, in the Gruyère region, many sporting and cultural activities are available - hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, spas, adventure park, Gruyère castle, cheese dairy, etc. - all are very close by. Small shops are located 2 min. on foot (grocery store, bakery, tea-room). This 60m2 apartment consists of two bedrooms, a living room, well-equipped kitchen and bathroom with shower. It is ideally suited for couples or small families. The space The recently renovated apartment is located on the top floor of the chalet with the main entrance in the back. The parental bedroom has a queen bed while the children's bedroom has two bunkbeds. The living room has a comfortable new sofa and is equipped with a TV with Chromecast. The kitchen has everything you need to cook and dine as a family while the bathroom has a spacious new shower. Finally, we've added a brand new balcony that is accessible from either the parental bedroom or the living room. Impeccable views of the Gastlosen mountain range and waterfall await! Other things to note During the winter months the narrow road leading down to the chalet is closed to vehicular traffic. A footpath about 1m wide is plowed and kept clear up the length of the road so getting up and down by foot is no problem but it also means that you will not be able to park directly beside the chalet when snow is on the ground. There is a small parking lot at the top of this small road, about 80-100m away from the chalet, where one can park in winter but you may want to have a 4-wheel drive vehicle to reliably access and park there without chains. Another option is to park down in the free lot in the center of the village - right next to the bus stop and about a 2-3 minute walk away. Please also note that Jaun is an authentic Swiss mountain village with the majority of chalets built on sometimes steep slopes. Our chalet is one of them. This is charming in many ways, in particular the view of the waterfall and "Gastlosen" mountain range it affords, but it can require a bit of stamina to reach if coming with public transportation.
