Unusual chalet, exceptional view of Lake Geneva

Authentic chalet in an unusual location, built in 1969, designed by the architect to resemble a ship overlooking the lake. Located in Thollon-les-Mémises at Grand Roc (altitude 1050 m), 2 km from the resort. Its privileged position "without vis-à-vis" offers a stunning view of Lake Geneva. Ideal for enjoying snow and skiing in winter, hiking in the mountains, and the lake in summer. This chalet will appeal to mountain lovers who enjoy being away from the noise and immersed in nature. The space An old chalet with authentic character, offering a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Its rustic decor preserves the soul of the place, while being carefully maintained to ensure a comfortable stay. Perfect for those seeking a traditional alpine experience, away from modernity, while enjoying a cozy and serene setting. If you wish, a high-speed internet connection, suitable for teleworking (optical fiber), will allow you to work remotely in a privileged setting. With its 3 bedrooms, the chalet accommodates up to 10 people (in the configuration 6 adults / 3 double beds+ 4 children / teenagers). Household linen is not included by default. Bed linen and towels can be provided depending on the number of travelers and the desired configuration (number of double and single beds to be defined). In addition to the reservation, count € 30 per double bed and € 15 per single bed. The rental includes cleaning and the provision of wood for the fireplace. The cleaning is done meticulously by our housekeeper. It is also equipped with a fireplace (wood is available at the entrance of the chalet), an oven, a microwave, a 213-liter fridge / freezer, a TV, a dishwasher and a washing machine. You will also find at your disposal a Nespresso coffee machine, a fondue and raclette machine. On request a cot and a high seat for meals can also be made available. The chalet consists of 4 half-levels. The layout is done as follows: - Level 0: entrance, small fully equipped kitchen, bathroom and separate toilet. - Level -1: 2 small bedrooms which both consist of a double bed and 2 children's beds in height. - Level +1: the living room, with a balcony spanning the entire width of the chalet and a beautiful view of the lake, a lounge area with fireplace and a dining area for 10 people. - Level +2: a bedroom for 2 people (1 double bed) with bathroom (sink, bath and toilet). During the months of July and August, at 250m, you can enjoy the private swimming pool of the residence free of charge (outdoor and heated). The chalet is not accessible by car. A reserved parking spot is available about 200 meters away on foot. Refer to the access map photo. Please note: Access to the chalet via a small winding path is not suitable for people with reduced mobility, the elderly or anyone who is not comfortable with mountain walking. We accept « 1 pet » as long as we respect the basic rules of good citizenship (dogs kept on a leash and collection of dog waste) and that they have been declared at the time of booking. A detailed access plan and an inventory will be sent to you a few days before your arrival. Access: The chalet is isolated, 200 meters from the parking area. Access is via small paths maintained by the caretaker but winding. It is difficult to access for people with reduced mobility, the elderly or anyone who is not comfortable with mountain walking. Arrival: In case of late arrival (after dark), as the access path is poorly lit at night, please bring a flashlight. Since the path is downhill, also make sure to wear sturdy shoes, especially in winter! Other things to note Traditional old chalet. Chalet size: 80m², divided into 63m² of living space + 17m² of areas under 1.80m in height. Comfortable for 6 people. Maximum capacity 10 people. Wooden terrace on the living room side, expanded in 2021. Internet: The chalet is equipped with high-speed internet (optical fiber). Rates: The rate is the same for up to 6 guests and increases progressively from the 7th to the 10th guest. Linens are NOT included by default.
