Longer stays on the entire basis is preferred. Sameera’s, a newly built villa, has 3 double rooms (two rooms with two double beds and one room with two single beds). It has a common verandah and a nice garden outside with a chill out hut under the trees. Waters supply is from a natural well in located in the property. The garden has guava, mango and coconut trees. Host has purchased this land about 2 years ago and has collected money to build it. Host can arrange meals, guests can order as per the menu. Sameera, your host, runs a few shops in Nilaveli that sell unique sea shells. Over the years he’s been able to save enough money to build his guesthouse and, just finished, he’s very enthusiastic to welcome his first guests. Though he doesn’t speak much English, he does well enough to manage guests, arrange elephant and crocodile watching tours, and other boat tours like whale watching. He’s has scooters/bikes for rent and can arrange transport to and from the house. Sameera’s only about 250 meters from Nilaveli beach. Guests can chill out in this gorgeous beach and catch a boat to Pigeon Island for snorkelling/diving. Trincomalee town is about 13 kilometres and Koneswaram Temple (Swami Rock) is some 17 kilometres away. Good spot for beach days and the occasional cultural trip.
