Summer is the best time to contemplate the Milky Way or Way of St. James: it's the galaxy to which we belong (along with about 200 billion other stars), and as we are imbued in it we perceive it as a great whitish stain that crosses the sky from side to side. If you're going to enjoy those extra hours of the day with your partner and children, don't forget to bring some good binoculars (minimum aperture 70mm and recommended no more than 9 magnifications, better if you can mount it on a tripod), or even your small telescope.
