Lake House Summer Getaway

A beautiful lakefront cottage, situated on a private cove on Parker Pond in Mount Vernon, Maine. Parker Pond is part of the pristine Belgrade Lakes and is the perfect spot for kayaking, canoeing, fishing, boating, swimming, and other summer activities. The lake is mostly quiet with occasional loon calls and bald eagles. Relax on your outdoor deck or waterfront dock. Our cottage is a cozy spot for an individual guest, a family, or many friends to enjoy summer on a clear, freshwater lake. Enjoy swimming and other water sports or relax on the dock with a good book. Finish off the day grilling up your favorite meal on the deck (propane included) or sitting by the firepit (wood included). Our home is your home! You will have access to kayaks, a canoe, and life jackets -- and of course, a dock on the lake! We have 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, and can accommodate six guests. We often stay a short distance away from the cottage where our guests will be staying. We will be close by many days of the summer months and may be available to assist you or recommend local restaurants. Our neighbors on the lake are very friendly as they pass by on boats or kayaks. Our cottage is located five minutes from a general convenience store and the Post Office Cafe. A twenty minute drive will bring you to local shopping, a movie theater, and a grocery store. Plenty of hikes nearby and quintessential Maine blueberry picking along every shoreline.
