Happy Nest

Happy Nest is an apartment which is half of the main house at NutGarden. The house has been partitioned to make two residences. Happy Nest contains a bedroom, a large living area, a kitchen and shower/toilet. There is a double sofa bed in the living space as well as the double bed in the bedroom. The house was built by owner/ host Kim Clark who lives on the property with his partner Chintana. The spectacular location is in the rainforest of the World Heritage Region of the Great Western Tiers The space The unusual ‘quirky’ architecture is the work of owner/ host Kim Clark who has lived on the property for 45 years. Rainforest and mountains provide wonderful views and places to wander. Native wildlife such as wallabies, possums, wombats, quolls and Tasmanian Devils frequent the area surrounding the house. Guest access There are other buildings on the property including the Roundhouse which is another AirBnB rental. https://www.airbnb.com/h/theroundhouserainforestandmountains Guests are welcome to wander the property but are asked to respect the privacy of other visitors and residents. There is a marked self guided bushwalk that takes in an ancient tree fern glade and the natural springs from where the property’s water supply is drawn. Other things to note The property is completely off grid and has its own energy system using renewable energy from solar panels and from a private micro hydro electric source.
