Serene Townhouse with Large Airy Attic and 5★ WIFI

Artisanale Homes are holiday homes based out in Goa. We currently have 7 Artisanale homes in Goa, named after the quaint villages they are located in. In the North of Goa, we have Artisanale Aldona, Colvale, Panjim and Porvorim and in the South of Goa we have Artisanale Benaulim, Loutolim and Orlim. The space Artisanale Aldona, is one of our renovations that we are immensely proud of completing the work back in 2016. Working within the original walls, we made the bedrooms roomier and bathrooms feel like little leisure spaces, complete with its walk in closets et al. We built an attic into the house and terraced the gardens to arrest mud slides into the fields across the road. We have been hosting a handful of guests from across the world here over the years. Some staying on for as long as 3 years. We have just about this month moved into short stays and are looking forward to meeting and hosting interesting travellers from around the world. But, we at Artisanale Homes, have been hosting guests since 2012 :-) on Airbnb .. just when Airbnb made their first foray into Goa... :-). Over the past decade we have hosted hundreds of hosts from across the world. Artisanale Aldona is a short walk from the main town square and not too far from the ‘manos’ (sluice gates) for local fish catch. Our home is a quiet, poetic, compact 2 bedroom townhouse on a 550 sq. mt. bit of land. Each bedroom has an aircon and an attached bathroom. The living room has a circular staircase leading upstairs into the large, ventilated attic which also has an aircon and fans. Walk out of the gate onto the main road, and you have fields as far as your roving eye can span. With trees and open fields all around you, the house keeps cool during the summers and just right in the cooler months. We do have mosquito in the area, and nets on all our windows. The home comes equipped with Kitchen appliances: fridge, microwave, mixer, water filter, top load washing machine Essentials: 1 KVA inverter, wifi router Linen: Towels/ bed linen for stays shorter than 1 month, please carry your own for longer stays. Pet owners, pls ensure our linen is not used for your pets. We will discard the sheets if used for your pets, and we would expect you to pay the damages. If you need a housekeeper to keep the place clean while you are there, let us know... The staff will charge INR 300 per day, to be paid by you directly to the staff. You absolutely need to have a car/ bike to get around here. Public transport is erratic and hired transport is expensive around here. Parking is on the main road, 10 metres walk from the house. It is a long tiring walk, from the main bus stop to the house about a 10 minutes hike. A bike hire is about INR 350/ day and car is about 1200/ day for a hatchback. If you would like to stay for a longer period at Artisanale Aldona or at any of our homes, pls drop me a line and we can chat abt your requirements. Pet owners, will be charged as per actuals if there is soiling of linen, damage to furniture (chairs/ doors), walls, or staining of our wooden floors. It is the responsibility of the owners to kindly pick up after their pets outside the house. Also note we do have strays on the main road leading upto the house and they can be pretty unruly to new dogs on their lane. Guest access Here is a check list of what is available in the house: 1. Linen/ towels/ hand towels: Yes. Provided and included in the rental for short stays less than 1 month. 2. Internet: Yes, an unlimited download, wifi broadband upto 150 mbps line throughout the house. The rental is included for short stays below 1 month. We have an ethernet connection. 3. Basic Toiletries: Yes. Provided and included in the rental for short stays below 1 month. 4. Smoking: Allowed in the garden. 5. Garbage disposal: We have dry and wet waste bins. Wet waste is disposed on the property and dry waste is collected by the panchayat on certain days. 6. Parking: Parking is at owners risk on the village road, just outside the property. 7: Conveyance: Absolutely required to have your own transport to move around 8. Appliances available: refrigerator, toaster, washing machine, 4 burner gas stove, iron & ironing board, water heaters in the bathrooms, water filter 9. Electricity bills to be paid as per usage for stays longer than 1 month. 10. Inverter: Yes, we have a 1KVA line. 11. Water: All the water for the house, including drinking water, comes from our own well. We have a water filter for drinking. Other things to note Please note that for stays 2 weeks and longer, the following extra costs are applicable per month. The costs include the below 1. electricity about INR 2000 with AC, as per usage/ bill 2. Internet about INR 2000 at 150 MBPS unlimited download 3. Housekeeping about INR 15000 per month for home services including cleaning and gardening upkeep.
