Welcome to our cottage "between Auvergne and Limousin". This is a nature and tradition gîte that is part of a hamlet of 2 houses located at the end of the road, on the edge of a sustainably managed deciduous forest. Lovers of calm, space and nature will find their happiness. The nearby ten-acre pond is a game watering point. It is accessible to fishermen (roach, carp). Less than an hour from the Auvergne Volcanoes and the Millevaches Plateau The space The building was renovated and insulated in 2018. The cottage occupies three levels. With a total area of 110 m², it has 3 bedrooms, a shower room, a large living room (living room, dining room and kitchen) and a large cloakroom. The kitchen is fully equipped (oven, induction cooktop, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher). In mid-season, the wood stove will warm you up and make you enjoy evenings by the fire. The rooms are also equipped with electric heaters. Fiber connection since October 2024. Capacity: 6 people. Guest access Fishing in the pond below the cottage is allowed and reserved for cottage tenants (roach, carp, tench). The surrounding woods are renowned for their mushrooms (especially chanterelles from May to September). On request, we can provide disposable "bedding" kits (sheet, cover, pillowcase) at the price of €10/person. Other things to note Since the summer of 2022, a dormouse has found refuge in the chimney. As the species is near-threatened, we placed an ultrasonic repellent on the ground floor (inaudible to humans) rather than trying to trap or poison it. At night, you may hear it moving under the roofs or in the fireplace until we find another solution.
