Our guest reviews are most believable & say it best... “This is a magical spot! Beautiful house located 1 quiet street back from Smiths Lake and well hidden behind shrubs and trees. The space is stylish, light and airy, with lovely new bathrooms & a large, well-equipped kitchen. Close to exceptional beaches including Cellito & Seal Rocks. The garden is totally secure, even for our Houdini dog. The kayaks and dinghy were well-used by the whole family and the dogs. Toby is an excellent host.” The space The perfect winter house for large groups... The giant 2-sided combustion stove rapidly heats the house fast; Fully insulated walls and ceiling keep it warm (and cool in summer); Giant sun-drenched and private decks; and comfortable seating in all 4 bedrooms to curl up and read. There are 2 Pavilions joined by a walkway over the creek, the perfect layout for a large group. The main Pavilion is open plan with living/dining/kitchen, and an en-suite bedroom at each end The whole Pavilion has giant wooden Bifold doors that completely open onto the north-facing deck with great outdoor seating and the BBQ. The deck is paradise in winter AND summer! Even better - we now have a wood-fired pizza oven - great for entertaining your family and friends. The 2nd Pavilion has 2 large bedrooms and a bathroom - each bedroom has its own entrance from the walkway, and the bathroom is shared from an internal corridor to ensure privacy. All 4 super sized bedrooms have comfortable chairs, coffee tables and many books for you to borrow - the house has over 500 books. Feel free to take a book or 2 home if you don’t have time to finish them. All 6 rooms have ceiling fans and all windows are louvres, so the house is cool as it catches all the breezes off the lake. In winter we have an amazingly efficient double ended combustion stove - the giant living areas are warmed in 20 minutes. There is plenty of firewood for you to use. Guest access You have the whole house! Other things to note There is a table tennis table in the garage - park your car on the driveway and set it up in the garage. Also a 2 person/2 dog kayak plus an aluminium dinghy that holds up to 5 people, both stored next to the lake and easy to launch over the beach.
