High bluff infinity view overlooking Lake Huron. You’ll love your stay because of the perfect balance of outdoor activity and opportunity to commune with nature. Amenities include two kayaks, a large outdoor fire pit, indoor fireplace, private beach, and nearby harbor towns to explore. Good for couples and solo adventurers, this knotty pine, high ceiling cottage house on Lake Huron has a full kitchen with beautiful quartz countertops, and French doors to the bedroom. The space This cozy, 900 square foot house is comfortable in every season. With central heating and cooling, it's easy to change the temperature to your specifications. The stairs to the beach include a landing half way down, a perfect spot to take your morning coffee or tea or relax with a book on our chaise lounges. With the sun glimmering on the water, a gentle breeze, and many water fowl in the area, it's a bird lovers paradise! Plenty of wood is available for a long evening of fire gazing in front of the fireplace or the fire pit outside. There is no dishwasher. Time to slow down and experience all the wonders of each moment by being present with simple activities. It may surprise you how pleasant they can be. Kayaks are stored on the kayak hooks on the seawall. Please make sure you replace kayaks on the hooks on the seawall and do not leave them on the shore of the lake as large waves can take the kayaks out and they could be lost. Please store paddles on the north side of the house; life jackets in the bedroom closet. Water shoes for the lake are recommended (please bring your own). There are optional curtain for the French doors to the bedroom. There are permanent brackets on the bedroom French doors. The curtains and rods are hanging in the bedroom closet. Please alert us before your arrival if you want them hung, or feel free to put these up yourselves after your arrival. Please let us know if we can help. Single size fold out couch/chair bed is available if you have a third guest with you. There is a $25 charge per night for the third guest. By popular request, we now have an outdoor BBQ grill! Please bring your own one pound green (camping) propane canister if you plan to use the grill. Grilling utensils provided. Complimentary red wine, or sparkling cider is offered to welcome guests for their stay. :-) Guest access Access to all parts of this cozy cottage house. Shed is locked. Other things to note There are great local restaurants. My favorite is the Stone Lodge (some gluten free items) and The Windjammer, 9 miles away in Lexington on the water in the harbor. The Blue Water Inn (great pizza) is also in Port Sanilac. Lexington hosts a variety of delicious fare, including the Village Pub, Sweetwater Gourmet Deli and Bakery, The Cadillac House, as well as the unforgettable 3 Vines Taphouse and Eatery on M-25 in the village of Lexington. There is no cable tv available, however there is a DVD/VHS player. We also have a Samsung Smart Hub access available (Netflix, Prime and Chrome Cast) via the Samsung remote control. SONOS sound system available. I am happy to recommend local massage therapists that are able to make house calls or have local studios.
