Fiordland Carriage

Refurbished 1912 Taieri Gorge train carriage, full of character, overlooking a large garden and pond. The Fiordland Carriage rests on the grounds of the Te Anau Lodge, which is a former convent originally built in 1936. The space The interior of the carriage is mostly set up as one long room with divider curtains available for privacy in the bathtub/shower space located in the middle. The far end of this large room contains the bed and the near end contains a kitchenette space complete with its own sink and dining seats/table. There is a separate room near the entrance for the toilet. Guest access In addition to the carriage itself, guests have access to the menagerie-like gardens and other outdoor amenities on the Te Anau Lodge property. Other things to note The small town of Te Anau serves as an excellent starting point for adventures and excursions into the world-famous Fiordland National Park.
